E-Class: Design Your Dream Home Based on Sacred Geometry
![]() |
Design Your Dream Home Based on Sacred Geometry Duration: 5 weeks Begins: 12th October 2009 |
Sacred Geometry bio architect Michael Rice and Nicholas Kelly are launching their very first online, private e-class on Designing Your Dream Home Using the Principles of Sacred Geometry.
In order to optimize your learning experience and to offer the highest quality personal feedback, we are limiting this five-week module to 21 course participants, from all over the world.

This is a unique chance to gain direct and personal benefit from Mike’s twenty years of architectural experience of designing and building houses and centers based on sacred geometry and biologic architecture. Not only that but you will be among the first to receive new workshop and workbook materials that have not yet been presented in any of the workshops run around the world.
In essence, what makes this course unique, is not only the material and learning process, but the added opportunity of receiving personal guidance, advice, suggestions and mentoring from both Mike and Nick on all your exercises and designs during the 5 weeks via both video and email.
All course content is also provided in audio format should you prefer to listen rather than to read.

What is Sacred Geometry?
In order to understand a little more about how sacred geometry can be used to create beautiful and healthy spaces it is useful to briefly describe what it actually is! Have a look at our articles section for a bit more information on sacred geometry.

In simple terms, everything is energy. It moves and expresses itself in waves. When two or more waves meet and interact it is called “wave interference” (imagine two pebbles dropped into a pond, the resulting circular waves moving out and meeting each other).
Depending on how these waves meet, the pattern of interference may be considered ‘constructive’ (or ‘sacred’) if they create a new sustainable geometry of natural form that gives rise to all living systems. From an atom to a cell, to the human body, a forest, planet or galaxy!
By exploring, practicing and integrating the geometries, shapes, ratios, proportions, growth patterns and fractal expressions of nature we gain a deep understanding and a powerful design tool in the creation of truly sacred space.
What’s This Course All About?
The need for shelter is a rudimentary instinct, as is the desire to create a home that is a healthy, beautiful and unique expression of our very soul. If we stop to look at our lives and the spaces we live in, we can see how life situations, assumptions, experiences and choices have all contributed to the creation of our built environment.

We exist in a constantly changing and self-balancing equilibrium with the elements of our world. When we get the opportunity to develop awareness, knowledge and wisdom of how nature creates, we can begin to apply this to the manifestation of our dreams.
For many people, the idea of dreaming up, designing and actually building your dream home is considered to be just that, a dream! A culture of dependence and personal disempowerment has resulted in many of us feeling that we cannot take personal responsibility and action towards a healthier life without the need to hire skilled professionals at every turn.
It is of course prudent to engage the services of experts in any field, depending on the specific needs of any situation. What is being offered here is an opportunity to develop the skills necessary to design and manifest your dream home, in an informative, playful and inspired way.

There is an old expression which highlights this point well. ‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, but teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime’.
Imagine having designed your own home, a home that is perfectly in balance with you, your family and nature. A dwelling that has the very matrix blueprints of nature incorporated into it. This is what is on offer here!
In these e-classes you will receive information, guidance and inspiration to fully immerse yourself in this realm of sacred geometry and natural design.
This e-class draws on all the experience and feedback from over 20 years of delivering sacred geometry workshops to people from all walks of life. However, unique to this workshop, this e-class will personally bring you through the process of designing your own dream home.

You do not need to be a professional designer, or indeed to be actually designing your home to attend this e-class. Simply by going through this process are you becoming fully immersed in sacred geometry, stating intent to harmonise, embed and fully express your relationship with Gaia, the fractal field of our entire creation.
How Will It Work?
A maximum of 21 people will participate in this e-class. This limit is there to ensure personal attention to each of the course participants.
Each week you will be e-mailed out reading material, articles, images and workbook exercises (all developed by Mike and Nick) for that week. You can then reply to the material, by email, and ask questions unique to you and your designs and exercises. Both Mike and Nick will review your emails and give answers, feedback, comments and advice specific to your situation.
What makes this e-class so unique is that Mike and Nick will be giving much of their feedback via video. On the video you will see your latest exercises/designs projected onto a white board with either Mike, Nick or both of them discussing your work and making suggestions. This video will only be viewable by you, no one else will have access to it. A video is recorded for each week of the e-class so, by the end of the e-class, you will have 5 videos.

There is much overlap in the skills and knowledge of Mike and Nick. In order to optimize the feedback loop will be looking after architectural specific questions and exercises and Nick will reply to sacred geometry and remaining areas. This will all be conducted by email and recorded video simplifying the process for all involved.
Added to this you will have access to the user forum on our website where you will be able to communicate with the 20 other participants on the e-class. Mike and Nick will also be dropping in to be of any assistance and guidance as well as to have a bit of fun!
Overview of the E-Class
Week 1
The first week covers a great deal of ground. From the history of sacred geometry, how it has been implemented to create the most outstanding structures, some of which still stand today, to where it can be seen in modern times.

This is followed by a sacred geometry intensive that introduces all the key concepts of sacred geometry. You will see much of the material that is presented on the 4-day workshops (the rest of which will be presented on week 2), that people have been to all over the world. In the past, workshop participants have travelled long distances for this material. It’s a truly mind-expanding volume of information that will change your perception of how the universe is constructed and connected.
Following on are the principles of Biologic Architecture and Building Biology, including the fundamentals to a healthy home. Insights into Feng Shui are shared through the lens of sacred geometry. Both Sacred Geometry and Feng Shui combine seamlessly together to create a harmonic and balanced environment.
The reasoning and functionality of rooms in a home are investigated. This can be quite an eye-opener, why have a room that is rarely used, what’s the purpose of a room? This information will be of key importance to the first week’s exercises.

The first exercises in this e-class include a number of drawing exercises (on paper), an investigation of your current lifestyle and how you use the rooms in your current home and deciding what rooms you want in your new home. The final exercise is a practical, using a length of string Mike and Nick guide you (via an online video) in laying out a series of geometric shapes and you have the chance to directly experience the different qualities of the various geometries!

Week 2
This week dives deeper into the long hidden secrets of sacred geometry. The meanings of geometries, when to use them and for what purposes they can be employed for.
The science of applying sacred geometry to architecture shows how it can improve the very health and energy levels of the occupants. You will learn how geometry can directly affect living biology and why that is of crucial importance to living in a life-enhancing structure.

As part of a healthy lifestyle food energetics, food preparation and nutrition are investigated from a sacred geometry perspective. This will entirely change how you view food and how you can get the most out of what you are eating.
The average house is full of toxins. From carpets to water, the common sources of toxicity are reviewed and the steps you can take to reduce them in your current home. Week 4 includes a thorough examination of creating a non-toxic home from the ground up.
Mike introduces the initial stages of the design process, i.e. the client brief, your brief! How to interpret it, what are the room uses in practical terms and the initial stages of coming up with the actual design, moulding the house around the lifestyles of its future occupants.

Developing on last week’s exercises you will be drawing (again on paper!) a sacred geometry house to scale. Yes, it’s a big task but there’ll be lots of help to hand. You will be drawing the outer shape of the house by copying one of the example houses. Then you will create the rooms following a design brief and the provided architectural guidelines.
Week 3
The third week gets stuck into sacred architecture, room layout and design. From last week’s exercise you will have already gone through the room layout thought process so you will be aware of some of the issues that can be encountered. A walk through a typical example will be presented, clearly illustrating common pitfalls and solutions to them.
You will get a rare insight into how Mike begins the design process in terms of determining the overall geometry of the house. How the geometry of the house is a reflection of the occupants/clients. Finding the right geometry to suit the occupants is crucial. Two ways of working this out are presented; by intuition and by logical thought process. This is truly unique information.

This week’s practical involves drawing up the geometric grid for your own house. This determines the overall appearance of the house as well as the energetic imprint it will have on its occupants.
Week 4
This week starts with a look at the ingredients for making a home a healthy, safe and vibrant environment. Mike and Nick will show the differences between building materials, heating, air, water and waste treatment systems. This is a large area of great importance; many factors will affect these decisions like the climate, orientation of the building plot, etc.

First of the exercises is to determine what materials and systems you are going to be using in your home. These choices include building materials like timber, stone, straw, metal, concrete, earth, etc. Mike and Nick will share with you which are the optimal materials to be using.
All of the above will affect the next exercise where you will be laying out the rooms of the house on the grid you produced in last week’s exercise. Don’t worry, just use the guidelines that are provided and you’ll be getting lots of feedback on this exercise!

Week 5
The final week will wrap up and summarize the whole design process by looking at landscaping, decorating, furniture and fixtures, lighting, solar orientation, building costs and many other areas. Extending the geometry of the house out into the landscape is of main focus here.
A case study is provided illustrating the whole design process and even touch upon the stages of the building process.
The exercise for this week is a big one. It pulls together everything you have learned. You will likely want to start with a fresh design for your house. All the design criteria, materials specifications, orientation, landscaping, lighting, etc. will be part of this week’s work.

Once you have submitted this exercise Mike and Nick will pour over it and give plenty of feedback and suggestions. You will have time to make some changes and resubmit for even more feedback!
And the icing on the cake! You will get you own personal 3D sketch of your house drawn by Mike!
How Much Will All This Cost?
This workshop will cost $1,500 for the 5 weeks. Consider that Mike charges between $6,000 and $20,000 for a client and you will be getting the benefits a normal client gets as well as learning how to actually do it yourself as well as learning all about sacred geometry. Quite an incredible offer!

When Does It Start?
The e-class begins on the 12th October 2009.
Who May Attend?
This e-class is open to everyone. All the material presented in the normal 4-day workshop is included so all the basics are covered and much more. For those who have already attended some of the workshops there is an abundance of new material here and considerably more practical exercises than the 4-day workshop as there is enough time to really get stuck into some very in-depth practices over the 5 weeks.
Whether or not you are actually going to be building a house is not a requirement for this course.
What do I need?
To do all the exercises you’ll need:
- An email account!
- Drawing pencils of different thicknesses
- A good quality compass (the drawing type)
- Large but manageable-sized paper
- An unmarked straight edge (a ruler will do)
- A scanner or camera to transfer your exercises onto the computer so they can be emailed and reviewed by Mike and Nick
- A sense of openness, adventure and humour!
